THE National kennel of the Retriever Club of France it is the largest retriever gathering of the year in France. This prestigious event will be held on Saturday 7 September 2024 au Grand Parquet of Fontainebleau in the department of Seine and Marne (77)in the region Île-de-France. The historical framework of Fontainebleaurenowned for its royal castle and its forest, it will host this exceptional meeting which will bring together the best representatives of the retriever breeds: Golden Retriever, Labrador, Flatcoated Retriever, Curlycoated Retriever, Chesapeake Bay Retriever et Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever.
What is a National Breeding Society?
The National Breeding Festival is an important event for breeders and owners of purebred dogs. Organized by the Retriever Club of France, this 44th edition is the opportunity to evaluate the conformity of dogs to the standards of the different retriever breeds, to award prestigious titles and to allow enriching exchanges between enthusiasts. THE Grand Parquet of Fontainebleauan iconic site located near the famous national forest, it offers the ideal setting for this national event.
National retriever breeding program
Friday 6 September 2024:
- Preparation of the National Zootechnical Competition by the NE commission team at the Petit Parquet in Fontainebleau, a stone’s throw from the historic center of the city. If you would like to contribute, please contact Valérie Delprat.
- 6pm General assembly of the Retriever Club de France, followed by a friendly evening at Bourron-Marlottea charming village located a few kilometers from Fontainebleau. Registration for the evening.
Saturday 7 September 2024:
- The highlight of the Nationale d’Elevage at the Grand Parquet of Fontainebleau.
- Assignment of CACS, CACS-J and CACS-V of the Société Centrale Canine for registered dogs.
- The judges are waiting for the different retriever breeds:
- Chesapeake Bay Retriever et Curly-coated retriever : Kaj Falk ANDREASEN (DK)
- Flat-coated retriever : Nikola VOLIC (RS)
- Male Golden Retrievers (all classes) : Tiina ILLUKKA (FI)
- Female Golden Retriever (young and adult) : Katherina SAVAGE (IE)
- Female Golden Retrievers (newborns and puppies) : Kaj Falk ANDREASEN (DK)
- Male Labrador Retrievers (all classes) : Daniela BARTOSOVA (SK)
- Female Labrador Retrievers (young and adult) : Sue MARSKELL (GB)
- Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever : Kaj Falk ANDREASEN (DK)
- Confirmations : You will have the option to have your retriever confirmed on site.
- Solidarity commitments : One euro per commitment will be donated to the La Cape association, which supports people suffering from post-traumatic stress thanks to assistance dogs.
- Commitment to health :
- DNA tests and samples carried out by a team from the Société Centrale Canine.
- Presence of the “Dog Genetics” team from the CNRS University of Rennes and the veterinarian and genetic researcher Benoit Hédan.
- Country dinner : The day will end with a rustic dinner in the beautiful countryside of Fontainebleau. Registration for dinner.
Sunday 8 September 2024:
- Activities a Bois-Le-Roipicturesque village located about 15 minutes from Fontainebleau, to promote retrievers:
- 8.30am: Passing the TAN (Natural Aptitude Test) for dogs aged 9 to 36 months.
- 9:00 Retriever Games, a fun activity accessible from the age of 4 months.
- 1pm: Grooming workshop and introduction to first aid.

More information on confirming your Retriever (Golden Retriever, Chocolate Labrador or other Retriever breed)
Notice to owners of a retriever dog born in 2023: if your dog reaches the age of 15 months on September 7, 2024, I invite you to participate in this special dog event Recuperator so confirmed it in Fontainebleau (77).
Your retriever breed dog must be confirmed to maintain its registration in the LOF. Confirmation is possible from 15 months of age. There he confirms is an examination intended to allow the definitive registration in the French Book of Studs of purebred dogs that have reached adulthood (LOF) and give them their pedigree.
On the day of confirmation, remember to bring your dog’s documents with you:
- Certificate of identification;
- Birth certificate;
- Confirmation commitment sheet.
